WE MADE IT!!!!

We have finished up our 1st year of home schooling...can I get an AMEN!

The kids are thrilled, I am thrilled. We had a lot of bumps in the road but also many smooth ones. When asked if I will do it next fall, I say yes. I still can not believe I have done it, I can't believe the kids have done it.

The boys just took the Stanford test and we await for the results, it will be neat to compare them to last years test scores. I need to test the kids yearly...I was too late to get Chloe in, but I have no doubt as to where Chloe is....with the boys having formal school for so many years, I really needed them tested...not just for them but for me. I will have them all tested each year...if they like it or not.

I thank all my home school friends that have helped me along the way...and the support of my family.....Love you all!

Bring on year #2!

I still can not believe that Landon will be in 9th grade...Joshua will be in 5th and Chloe a big 2nd grader...YIKES!!!

Soccer Time

Joshua and Chloe seem to enjoy it. Chloe was stand offish at first, but then really got into it. Thankfully they both practice on the same night at the same fields, hey I will take that!

Caught ya..

Reading...

At night before bed, if the kids are not "tired" they can read. I wish they all would someday have the love of reading I have. I don't have the time or I guess I just don't take the time to read like I would like. As long as they read some each day, I am good to go. Maybe some day they will love it more. I can hope.

Landon was not thrilled to see me with the camera and hides his face...nothing new..he is reading Anne of Green Gables for his Lit class. I have never read this book, and have picked up a copy for myself to read. Chloe is reading a fairy type chapter book, her 2nd one. She loved them. Joshua is reading Old Yeller. Good choices all around.
